At Squirrels, you can try new things, learn skills for to the future, and make friends. We’re really excited about starting up a new drey in Billesley, and we had such an amazing time meeting the newest members of our Scouting family tree.

Like all other sections of Scouts, Squirrels is run by a team of volunteers, and we need your help to get started. We’ve got a great team of existing volunteers who are ready to support new members and help them grow into amazing section volunteers. Whatever time you’ve got spare, and whatever skills you can bring to the table, we’d love to have you as part of our Squirrels team.

Our open event has finished now, but we’re moving into the next phase of our Squirrels plans and will be running a trial four-week programme starting on Tuesday April 30. The sessions will run from 16:30 until 17:15, and our volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about Squirrels or Scouts. If you’d like to come along and find out if Squirrels and Scouts is right for you, then please feel free to come along to our trial programme.

The trial programme will be running for four weeks, and you will need to stay with your young person during the whole session. Sessions will be taking place at Holy Cross Community Centre on Tuesday 30 April, 7 May, 14 May, from 16:30 to 17:15. If you’d like to add your young person to our waiting list, make sure you get in quickly – we have limited spaces left in our initial cohort!
